Ezhu Sundara Rathrikal [2013] Posters/stills

Here is the most awaited movie of the year from dileep - lal jose combo. Movie is scripted by james albert who earlier teamed up with lal jose to form an all time bockbuster ''classmates'' back in 2006.
Will history repeat itself ? We'll see. >

Here are some top rated and new posters from the movie.

Beetlejuice (1988)

It is a story about a couple, trapped in their home after their deaths and trying to scare away the new owners of their house. They were too nice to scare people away from the house. Their attempts at scaring the family out of the house are ignored or laughed at. They eventually turn to another ghost head 'Beetlejuice' for help.

Presented in a funny way, it is meant for pure entertainment. A perfect example of good solid horror-comedy.
When you watch it, don't look into the logics in the movie. Because there is none !!

All the actors did their parts well.

6.5/10

The Way Way Back [2013]

The story of a 14 year old kid's [Duncan] life having difficulty in adjusting to his new father and the environment. Having trouble fitting into the new environment he found a water theme park nearby and got himself a part time job and some friends there.

How his life changes from there form the rest of the story.

The leading kid who played the role of Duncan was a bit annoying. This has the making of a good enough family movie , but the main character ruined it for me.
I can't remember when a child actor had ruined a movie before. All others did their parts well.
Annasophia Rob was cute. But the role for her was hardly noticeable.

Here Steve carrell played the role of a new father. 1st time I've seen him in a bit of negative role.

Overall, a movie which could have been made better with a decent enough actor in it. Still 1 time watchable though.

Highly overrated flick too.. Considering 7.5 on IMDB.

5.5/10

Haunter [2013]

Decent flick with a tiny twist. The story is about a teenager (Abigail Breslin) who was murdered years back with her family in 1985, and stuck on the same day since, and was haunted. At first she thought that she was the one that actually is haunted by a girl named 'Olivia'. But actually it is the reverse.

With Olivia's help she found out that the house was owned by a serial killer who kidnapped all the girls in that house and buried them in one of the rooms.

How she saves the present girl forms the rest of the story.

The movie gives you little scare here and there but not too scary like 'The Conjuring'.
Also, it drags a bit in the middle part. Dialogues were below average.

And, this can't be classified as an out and out horror movie. It is more of a thriller.
Another solid performance From Abigail Breslin.

An ok watch for horror movie lovers.

5.5/10

Geethanjali

Went for Geethanjali with a little bit of hope.. Not too much, knew that they can't ever re-create a manichithrathazhu again. I was expecting a good mix of horror and comedy throught with a thrilling climax. The film didn't actually disappointed me but, with a bit more homework and a half decent script, this could have been much better.

As it is a horror movie, it delivers quite a few scary moments.

The confusion surrounding Geetha and Anjali forms the whole story. Story department delivers absolutely nothing new to the screen. As it is a copy of many movies.
'Haunted banglav', always a good setting for a horror movie.!

Horror scenes invoke some scare among the audience, mainly on the 1st half. The cinematography and editing were very good in those scenes.

But apart from innocent, the comedy department was a complete disappointment. Suresh Gopi had only 1 scene in the movie, to introduce Dr sunny to Nissan. So, not much to comment on that.
The climax is taken in a manner that reminds you of old Fazil movies. The film has an emotional but, complicated ending to it. Many of new generation fans may not like such endings. But I thought it was good.
The film never entered high or low levels. The pattern remained the same for pretty much all the way through.

Performance side, Nishaan was completely disappointing. Climax dialogues were close to laugh riot. Keerthi played the twins perfectly I thought. Looks gorgeous too.

Mohanlal by his standards, delivers an above. Avg performance with good screen presence. His entry should have been a bit earlier.
Innocent made a strong comeback through the movie and remains the most entertaining one in the movie.
Priyan's direction was good, considering the script was a below average one.

Don't ever expect a manichithrathazhu or anywhere close to that. Then the film will surely disappoint you.

An above average-watchable horror-mystery thriller for me.
